Анотація
The purpose of the study was to find out the effectiveness of rehabilitation and re-adaptation of internally displaced persons (IDPs) within the Psychosocial Assistance School conduction (jointly with the Department of Organization of Social-Psychological Assistance to the Population, Chernihiv National Technological University). The School training was held under the program of the author’s rehabilitation complex focused on the innovative paradox technology. The program also included a complex study in three areas: the change in PTSD symptoms and the adaptability indicators of the participants; the mastering in selfhelp and mutual assistance at the end of their studies, and their skills stability three months after the course completion; the defining of the changes in participants’ quality of life during the time of studies. The case studies were conducted for the three female IDPs. The indicators of PTSD and adaptability were investigated according to the defined methods at the beginning of studies, right after their completion, and three months later. The indicators for the self-help and mutual assistance skills and indicators for the quality of life’s change were investigated twice – after the classes’ completion and three months later Accordingly to the three tests it is found the dynamics in indicators for the post-traumatic states’ and for the adaptiveness’ deviations. It is determined that these dynamics are concerned with the changes in personal and social life. It is also noted the steady growth of personal adaptive potential of participants. It is defined that in the process of studying the IDPs acquired the skills for self-help and mutual assistance, reached the positive changes in the quality of their lives (at the end of their education, as well as three months after). There are distinguished the three main areas of practicing and consolidation of acquired adaptive forms of behavior in the process and after the completion of the course: 1) the area of family communication; 2) the area of mutual assistance in the “peer-to-peer” communities and NGOs which unite IDPs; 3) the area of social self-realization within the workplace and public activity. The conducted research is shown the need to develop the projects for psychosocial support of IDPs to improve their adaptive behavior within the “hybrid peace” conditions. The rehabilitation complex proposed by the author has the practical importance to study the effectiveness of rehabilitation and re-adaptation programs for the vulnerable groups’ recovery in the hostilities’ conditions. The originality of the article consists in the research for the paradox technology’s effectiveness, the use of a set of diagnostic methods including an author’s questionnaire for changes in the quality of life of IDPs’ self-assessing
