Psychological consequences of the military conflict in the east: Theoretical analysis of politico-legal sphere phenomena
Анотація
The negative psychological consequences in the politico-legal sphere which take around the military conflict in eastern Ukraine are analyzed. The general framework of socio-political reality in Ukraine at different stages of the military conflict is outlined. It is shown that negative psychological consequences can be determined due to the violations of effective or optimal citizen interaction as well as interaction with the authorities. It was shown that one of the psychological mechanisms underlying the establishment of the LDPR (Luhansk People’s Republic and Donetsk People’s Republic) was destruction of Ukrainian and all-Ukrainian identities through creating and using of various myths and through reduction of citizens’ sense of security. The systematization of negative psychological consequences is carried out. The emphasis is on the sociopsychological and politico-legal aspects of these consequences. The socio-psychological approaches can be represented by means of the following groups of negative psychological phenomena in the politico-legal sphere due to Russia military aggression: 1) destruction of the unity of civil society; 2) increasing of dissatisfaction with the activity of authorities; 3) violation of the process of politico-legal identification; 4) increasing of the capacity for manipulative information influences; 5) spread of non-constructive behavior patterns; 6) despondency in the future of Ukraine. The politico-legal approach can be represented by means of psychological interpretation of such phenomena as radicalization of consciousness, separatism, collaborationism, extremism, militarization of consciousness, anomie, de-rationalization (irrationalization) of consciousness. This list can be complemented by human dignity depreciation; participation in infrastructure objects blocking, involvement of military and postATO participants into different politico-legal actions. Additional attention must be paid to «military tourism», avatarism; criminalization of domestic conflicts; social dependence, problems with the transfer of responsibility for the current politicolegal situation; exacerbation of nationalistic movements and reduction of tolerance, negative stereotyping and polarization of individuals and social groups ideas. There is a need to focus on members’ of different institutional entities evasion from assuming the responsibility for country and its citizens. A special study requires the question of forming of an enemy’s image. It is made the conclusion that the content and manifestations specificity of these phenomena must be clarified in order to formulate recommendations and programs able to be used for decreasing negative psychological phenomena
